Graphically describes the horseback adventures of four people who rode across some of the most beautiful yet toughest country in the state of South Australia and its sister American state, Texas. The rides were undertaken in late 1985 to draw attention to the following year’s 150th birthdays of the two enormous and, in many ways, similar states. The riders–two Texas women and two South Australian men–aimed to show that hardiness and courage did not die with the early pioneers.
